Aquest dispositiu disposa de dues bobines que apliquen un camp magn\u00e8tic perpendicular a la direcci\u00f3 del l\u00edquid que, durant el seu pas, genera una tensi\u00f3 que \u00e9s captada pels el\u00e8ctrodes. Aquesta tensi\u00f3 \u00e9s proporcional a la velocitat, per tant, al cabal del fluid.<\/p>\n<p>El principi de funcionament es basa en la llei d&#8217;inducci\u00f3 electromagn\u00e8tica de Faraday.
